My name is Jonathan Noorduyn. I’m the managing lawyer and president here at Litco Law. I joined Litco back in May of 2010 after graduating from law school at the University of Alberta. And I had the opportunity to work in personal injury litigation for about 9 years before transitioning to the managing lawyer role about 6 years ago and I’ve been the president now for about 2 years here at Litco. I think I was initially drawn to law from you know what I saw on TV when I was in high school watching legal shows or legal dramas. But what I realized working here is it’s really an opportunity to partner with people. We come alongside them and help them during what is one of the most difficult chapters of their lives and fight for them, advocate for them, get them the compensation that they’re entitled to, to put them back in the position they would have been as if the accident hadn’t happened as much as possible to help them. I think what motivates me on a daily basis is the opportunity to really make a difference. We help people who are often in one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. You know, it can be really hard. It can be really challenging and it can be incredibly rewarding and people are often incredibly grateful for the work that we do. And you know, I could go practice law somewhere else or I could do a different area, but I don’t think I could make the difference that we make in people’s lives anywhere else other than working at Litco Law. I’m really proud of our team. When clients call me to thank me for the work that our team has done. They’ll call me and they’ll say, “Hey, I just want to let you know the great work that Jeff did” or “the great work that Paul did” or “Cole helped me when nobody else would.” It makes me incredibly proud of the work that we do. It’s such a privilege to be part of this team and I’m just proud of the work that we do and I’m proud of the results that we get for our clients.
