Professional Background

Hassan maintains a civil litigation practice with a focus on personal injury and employment law matters. His experience spans across all steps of the litigation and dispute resolution process, including questionings, applications, mediations, and trials.

Hassan’s practice is complemented by active involvement in the Alberta legal community. He serves as an Executive of the Canadian Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and as a Case Law Review Officer for the Insurance Law Section as well as the Labour & Employment Law Section. Hassan also serves on the CBA’s Access to Justice Committee, supporting pro bono initiatives in collaboration with prominent legal institutions and members of the Alberta Bar.

Hassan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Saskatchewan, where he developed a generative-AI legal tool and policy guidelines for institutional and regulatory stakeholders. He also contributed to Pro Bono Students Canada, coached students in competitive dispute resolution, and founded one of the College of Law’s largest student organizations.
